The Raiders are nomadic pillagers organized into autonomous tribes. Independent and proud of it, they refuse to be subjected. Inhabitants of the planet Dokan, a vast, overcrowded and filthy dump, they live by stealing and from the lucrative trafficking of Febris, a drug synthesized from etherium.
They are therefore participating in the millennium war without the military resources of the three large factions, paying their dues to the Smuggler after each etherium raid. They group together in fortified strongholds on the deposit planets from where they launch violent raids to plunder from their rivals. For them, these incursions are not only an opportunity to fill the holds of their ships with etherium, but also to seize equipment, weapons and vehicles from the opposing forces to sell them on the black market to other tribes on their planet.
The Raider tribes respect force and war alone, and only when they are defeated and humiliated will they submit to the orders of another faction. They then form an allegiance with those stronger than themselves; but their resentment runs very deep and their loyalties are fickle: they always regain their independence at the end of the incursion.
